Zoo

Chris and I decided to spend his last Friday off before school starts at the Metro Zoo. We'd never been before and the weather wasn't unbearable, which made for a great morning!

The giraffes are definitely the highlight of the zoo, but we were impressed by the number of animals we were able to see so close! At one point the chimpanzees started chasing each other and making loud noises. The lions all started roaring at them until they calmed down, then the lions went back to sleep. It was pretty amazing to Chris and me, but pretty alarming to Willow Libby.

Hadn't realized how long and nasty giraffe tongues are until today!

Willow was happier watching from a distance until the giraffe's tongue invaded her "bubble."
