Christmas

We had a great week with Gramma and Gramps the week leading up to Christmas. Willow soaked up all of the attention and kept all of us laughing and on the move.

Gramma and Linnie taught Willow some of their PiYo moves. Here's the Warrior 3.

Willow's ready for gymnastics!

Loving Aunt Linnie's Nook!

Gramma's paint shirt for their special project fit "just right."

Willow got to add her name onto her bed!

Wearing Daddy's Bills hat must've given them just enough luck to beat the Broncos!
Willow loved entertaining Aunt Renda's cat, Bandit.

There wasn't much snow to speak of in PA this year. We had an "ice fight" with the frozen snow left on the car.

Aunt Sara was Willow's ally during the annual tradition of a wrapping paper fight following present opening in the basement.

Making pancakes with Aunt Linnie

Willow decided 2 days before Christmas that she liked Santa. Santa delivered her an Elmo and friends playdough kit at Gramma and Gramps'.

Willow warmed up to the pool at Linnie's hotel pretty quickly!

We all needed ice cream to survive the drive home =)

Christmas cookies!

We had some of Willow's sweet friends over to make Christmas cookies and had a great time!

Getting the batter ready before our friends come over:

A few of their creations:

A messy-faced girl!

Craft time!

They're growing up so fast!

Willow got to practice being a big sister by helping give baby Holly some of her bottle.

6 months

Getting bigger by the minute and feeling lots of kicks!

Pre-Christmas fun

Willow has been enjoying helping us wrap gifts this year!

Willow's school put on a Holiday Show. Her class joined 2 other classes of similar age to sing 2 songs. Here's our "great" view (she's behind the humongous poinsettia).

She'll sing it for you word-for-word at home, but not when anyone else is watching!

Serious girl + crazy cat =

I love seeing them play together. They'd done the same thing the night before except Willow was squealing in laughter.

Quotable Quotes

"It'll be ok mommy." (said as she put in my earrings...one of her favorite things to do lately)

"Oops! Sorry water bottle." (said as she tripped and dropped her sippy cup)

"I don't like Santa." (said hundreds of times already this year)

"I'm trying to be in charge." (said as she touched the Christmas lights that I've told her repeatedly not to touch. Maybe she is absorbing something from our post-timeout conversations.)

"I like elephants. I sure do." (said as we went on a bear hunt into the kitchen)

"I save it for later in a safe spot."

"I want to share by myself." (said on the way to get ice cream)

Mommy: Who is your best friend?
Willow: Carson (her most recent friend to have come over to play)
Mommy: Who do you think Cocalynn's best friend will be?
Willow: Willow

Christmas Parade

We made it to the Christmas Parade again. The weather this year was a little warmer and we were able to make it through the whole parade! Willow even made out with a free neon green pom pom, 2 candy canes, 2 silly bands, and a piece of gum!

Rudolph was able to make an appearance despite his "accident" last year.

Willow has really enjoyed the Christmas lights in our house so we thought she'd enjoying seeing a very large tree at a local mall!
