8 months and Preparations

I've been blessed with two enjoyable pregnancies and am trying to soak up the last 5 or so weeks of this pregnancy (since we don't plan on growing beyond a family of four). There are many things I find fascinating about being pregnant (That your skin can stretch that far! The amazing feeling of a baby kicking inside of you!) and I'm trying to capture more of it since I won't experience it again. Cocalynn is following in his/her sister's footsteps in being camera-shy. We have numerous videos of my tummy NOT moving. Here's our best video of  the strong kicks I'm experiencing these days (watch the area near my right calf):

We had a major workday in Willow's room this weekend in preparation for our new arrival. The most drastic change for Willow is that we moved her from the bottom to the top bunk bed. She's SUPER excited and giggles every time she climbs up and down the ladder. Here's her first journey up:

She especially loves her new reading area under her bed! (pic coming soon)

Inflatable Fun!

Willow has practically grown up at Inflatable Palace. We burn through punch cards like crazy! You can see some of our trips hereherehere, and here. We had fun with Jeanne, Mckenzie, and Holly this past weekend. It's good for Willow to see Mckenzie be such a great big sister to Holly (and helps that Holly is such a happy baby!). It was easy for them to take a break from playing to give her lots of love:

As the girls get older they're obviously interacting more by playing with each other rather than beside each other. Going along with being 2, sharing is difficult. This picture was taking after the grunting and frustration of them both wanting to hold the steering wheel on the truck. All things considered, they did a good job of sharing.

Before Mckenzie got there, Willow made a new friend with a little girl who she loved to follow around!

Mckenzie has always been an active girl. She can LAP Willow on this obstacle course!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Willow had a great time making Valentine's cards and treats for her friends and family this year.
She's really into glueing these days!

Not too bad with her scissors!

Painting Valentine cards for her friends at school.

Rice Krispie treats for her friends at school

Pink-tinted heart-shaped Rice Krispie treats...YUM!

Followed by more cooking with dad for dinner...pizza!

Hide-and-Seek

Willow loves to play hide-and-seek. I think she mostly loves the places WE come up with for her to hide in. She is a good "hider" though and will be very quiet and still until found. Here's Dada's new hiding place for her tonight:

Belly Kisses

Without any provoking or "modeling" from anyone else, Willow has started giving Cocalynn (my belly) hugs and kisses. She loves to pull up my shirt, pull down my lovely preggo pants, then kiss my belly, hug my belly, then pull up my pants and pull down my shirt. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. She's very sweet and super gentle. Here's hoping the excitement lasts when the baby actually comes! 7 weeks and counting!

Sweet Friends

Willow was SUPER excited to have our friends the Murrays over for dinner this weekend! I think her cheeks must've hurt by the end of the night from smiling so much =)

Visitors

We had a great long weekend with Gramps and Gramma this weekend! Life will be a lot different the next time we see them!

Willow loves to give orders, but in an effort to help her listening skills we introduced the game Follow the Leader. She seemed to enjoy it!

Willow really enjoys art projects but this was her first time solo with the liquid glue. Not bad!
